The Seiko Presage Classic Series SPB480J1 is a presage classic series watch equipped with a classic texture and an open heart design with an additional touch of luxury. This model is built on the idea of “gracefully wearing Japanese beauty,” with a warm, natural color scheme, and a complex, mechanical theatre on the dial side.
The “Shiro-Iro” Dial with Gold Elements
The surface of the dial is textured to mimic the traditional warm cream-white colour of raw, unbleached Japanese silk, known as Shiro-Iro, with careful attention paid to the surface’s domed shape. In an attempt to raise this fabric-like display to a higher plane, Seiko Watch enhances the look with a touch of radiant yellow-gold colored hands, hour indices and accents. The golden hues in Japanese culture symbolize nobility and celebration, lending a brilliant, subdued glow to the matte surface.
